EXTENDED DEADLINE: JUNE 29 Come join us at the Summer University on Food and Drink Studies in Tours, France, from 28 August to 4 September 2016. The summer school is organized for the 14th time by the François Rabelais University and the European Institute for the History and Cultures of Food (IEHCA).
For the first time this year, our ‘Shared Taste’ research project – together with the IEHCA – will offer a number of bursaries covering the full registration fee (400€), which covers accomodation in single rooms with full board, accession to lectures, seminars and related cultural visits. Travel expenses are not met.
The Summer University is open to postgraduates (Master) and doctoral researchers on any aspect of food & drink studies from Antiquity to the present, and can accomodate 15 to 20 participants. Participants have to prepare a 10 min. paper; discussions are conducted in English, no knowledge of other languages is necessary.
Selection will be based on overall academic quality/ promise of submissions received before the closing date. Please indicate on the application form whether you would like to apply for such a bursary.
